Several members of Point Grey will be competing in the BC Cross Country Championships at Clearbrook Park in Abbotsford this weekend.

Samuel Pawluk, Ryan Huff, and Theo Hunt will compete in the mens 10k race.  Pawluk was 2^nd in 2011 and will be looking for improve his position this year.  However, several of BC’s best runners including Chris Winter and Geoff Martinson will be challenging for the win as well.  This is Huff’s first cross country race since November 2011 where he finished 17^th at the Canadian Cross Country Championships.  Hunt raced at the Charles Bowles invitational three weeks ago for a 2012 cross country season opener.

Three women will also be competing in the 6km race. Sabrina Wilkie leads the way with an impressive fall season including a 13^th place finish at the Canadian Road 10k Championships and a 20 second PB in the Victoria Marathon Weekend 8k event.  Also running will be Katrina Bruckschwaiger and Jen Moroz.  Both Katrina and Jen raced the Whistler Spirit run, a cross country race in September.  Katrina finished 4^th and Jen was 9^th.  All three women should be looking for strong performances this weekend.
